Upcoming election

Today I spoke with F about the upcoming election and the swing to the right that we see. I see it as a step backwards and expressed the view that the Labour Party look forward but the right seem to look backward and seem want a return to old fashioned  attitudes and outmoded outlooks. I dread the future with them. 

Life in the cloud

I spoke with someone today who does not trust the cloud. I have explained how their data is encrypted and it is quite safe but it is hard to convince someone to put their faith into something they cannot understand. Like any kind of belief I suppose. 

Tidy Habits

 Today I spoke with a man whose wife cleans her pantry out every two weeks.  She empties it and puts it all back in order, making sure that no use-by dates have expired, and everything is in its place.  He told me she even writes dates on the eggs so that they do not eat them after their best before date.  I don't know anyone else who does this but I'm guessing that there are more than I can imagine.   My pantry gets cleaned out once every one or two years 🤣🤣🤣🤣.  And I do keep goods beyond their use-by date.  Each to their own.

An audiologist

Today I spoke with an audiologist who presented an opportunity to work with her clients to upskill their smartphone use when they are fitted with hearing aids. Something to consider! We will talk more. 

Back Stroke Star's Mamma

 Today I spoke with the proud mother of an upcoming backstroke star of New Zealand.  Sounds like a team commitment to travel and hard work to achieve success. The 17 year old's mother talked about some of the wins and sacrifices made to get to where she is today.  They are on their way to the Hawkes Bay from Auckland so it is a long drive for them. Where Do They Go and How Do They Get There?

 Today I spoke with F about people who she went to school with and the places they have gone.  She went down a rabbit hole on the internet chasing one very dopey rabbit whose faith is now in Jesus.  From one crutch to another.

FAFO

Today I spoke with D at the coffee shop. He showed me a saying I hadn’t heard of before - it can be abbreviated to FAFO in your social media - and showed me a video example. He also showed me a video of a frog croaking in the perfect wavelength to create ripples in the pond in which he sat. Entertainment plus!
